Top: This is the group of riders I rode with for most of the last 30 miles back to the finish. Luckily for me, they stopped at every rest stop and then would catch up to me again after their break.
Bottom: Race pace. Took this picture immediately after the one on top. Cruising with these guys was challenging at times. Here riding along at 26.5 mph at an elevation of 657 feet on a flat road (0% gradient) with a temp of 84 degrees and 78.41 miles into the ride. Total elevation gain for the ride was 6019 feet. Average gradient for the entire ride was 3%, steepest 11%, highest elevation of the ride was 2012 feet. Finished in 6 hours 41 minutes with lots of climbing and traffic lights along the way.
