<brThe first castle we saw along the Rhine was Stolzenfels. It is a 13th century castle built to impose tolls on boats traveling up and down the Rhine. It was rebuilt in 1836 and refurbished by the King of Prussia.

Below: A view of the Rhine from Stolzenfels. As usual, everytime we visited a castle, the weather would get worse.
