Top & Bottom: We unofficially decided that this year we'd try to get together for weekend rides, partially to get ready for the Solvang Century in March and just because we need the rides. So on January 17 Milton and I rode up to the first gate on highway 39 from my house. We had not done this ride from the house before, only from the golf course along the bike path. Round trip from the house was 72 miles on a a very nice spring-like day. Many other riders on the road this fine day. Also found out that there is another gate four miles farther on up the road. Maybe next ride.
